The change log post for today covers the past two weeks. The main focus of these two weeks has been polishing up Survival with tweaks and fixes, as well as launching the new Skyblock reset. Both resets have been well received by the community and we are continuing to develop on them and make changes to improve your game play experience. Please note that our Summer Sale at 50% Off is still running, but may be taken down without notice pending announcements from Mojang regarding future EULA changes.

Factions
  • Mob stacker poll on forums here
  • Falling blocks removed from lag clears
  • mcMMO was broken for a day, but got fixed quickly
  • Pumpkin prices reduced to $2 to match other crop prices
  • Removed the multiple sell signs in shop and made one single sell-all sign
  • Players no longer take knockback from explosions to improve raiding
  • Spawner drop chance from explosion increased from 10% to 50% to improve raiding
Survival
  • Disguises added
  • Kit balances to improve the economy
  • Keys buffed post launch, rewards are now much better
  • Removed auto crop replant
  • You can now craft spawners with eggs and iron bars
  • Added the AntiLag plugin from Factions to improve performance
Skyblock
  • Full reset has occurred with many changes that can be found here
  • Tweaks and changes continue to improve game play and performance
Kitpvp / Oppvp
  • Fixed a bug when purchasing regen potions
  • Added fire resistance potions to shop
Global
  • Fixed an issue with players not being able to use commands on the minigame servers
  • Added cool down to /fix for Champions to match the Deity rank

This week's change log focuses on information regarding the Survival reset this Friday and some major adjustments to the Faction's shop in order to better stimulate raids and economic growth. We have also continued to fix bugs and polish the Kitpvp and Oppvp resets.

Factions
  • New ClaimLevels plugin
  • Veinminer enchantment kicks fixed
  • Spawner drop chance increased from 75% to 85%
  • Iron Golem spawner price reduced from $7m to $2.5m
  • Added Creeper & Enderman spawners to the in-game shop
  • Blazerods now sell for $11 each instead of $2
  • Iron now sells for $13 each instead of $11
  • Cactus and Sugar cane now sell for $2 each
  • Piston prices decreased massively
  • Price of all raiding supplies decreased massively (TNT, redstone, gunpowder, levers)
  • Primed TNT no longer deleted by lag clears
  • /spawner has a longer cooldown for Emperors and Deities
  • /crafttnt added, $10 per TNT without sand and $2 with sand in your inventory
Survival

As many of you are aware we had an issue with Kitpvp and Oppvp today that resulted in us needing to do some roll backs. The roll back was approximately 20 hours and the server was reverted to the state it was in last night at 11 PM PST. Everything should be fixed and ready to go in just a few minutes.

The only other issue with the roll back is that the core database that had to be reverted also contained user ranks, so if you purchased a rank or had any rank changes in the past 20 hours it may have been reverted as well. If this is the case please just make a support ticket and we will get it fixed for you as soon as possible.

We missed last week's change log update so this one will contain two weeks worth of updates and fixes. Most are centered around Kitpvp and Oppvp as those were the servers reset and updated during this time period. Many changes were made after the initial launch to better improve gameplay, fix bugs, and balance the kits. We are still accepting suggestions and ideas for these servers so if you have any feel free to make a thread or post below.

Factions
  • Fixed an issue with players being able to stack potions more than the limit
  • Bank Notes maximum withdrawal increased to 5 million
  • Faction member limit is now set to 25
  • Fixed an issue with /f fly when leaving claimed land
  • Added many useful pet related commands

Survival
  • Reset is approximately 10-14 days away. We are aiming to have everything live by August 1st, but as you are aware delays can occur

  • Experience bottles price reduced
  • Kit changes and balances to make the game more fair

The reset is live! I'd like to go over a few of the server details with you so you're all aware of the new features, and give some instruction on how to report bugs / issues in this new update.

New Features

  • Dollars removed, coins are new the currency
  • Coins are a global currency and are shared with our mini games and hub
  • If you have a rank in Kitpvp now they are global across all of our other servers
  • You can collect daily / monthly coin rewards to be spent in any mini game (including Kitpvp) at the voting villager in the hub
  • The coins you earn from the hub treasure chests apply to Kitpvp and all other mini games
  • Guilds - New guild system. Any player can join a guild but only those with a rank can create one
  • Creating a guild costs 5000 coins
  • Guilds can be expanded from 5 slots to 10 slots with a cost of 10000 coins
  • Top Guilds are displayed at spawn with their NPCs very similar to Factions Top plugin
  • New Kits have been added, check /kit
  • New GUI based shop instead of signs, check /shop

Bug Reports

You can provide bug reports by either sending me a PM directly over the forums or posting them in the comments below. Please be aware that saying things like "x is broken" is not even remotely helpful. We need details to fix any issues that arise and the more detail you give us the faster it will be fixed. We appreciate your insight and suggestions greatly so feel free to make general comments as well. Hope you all enjoy the reset and Oppvp should be coming today as well (with custom enchants ;))

I just wanted to make a quick announcement informing those waiting that the Kitpvp / Oppvp resets will be delayed another day or two. I apologize for these issues and I know you are all impatient to see what we have in store, but I promise it will be worth the wait as we iron out these final details and polish the code. We want to make sure the launch is flawless and not rushed live just to have errors and break down.

Also for the Factions crashes / restarts today -- we are aware of the issue, we are working on it, and expect Factions to be frequently restarted for the rest of the day. We are currently patching the problem but it requires quite a few restarts to test the code on each update. Apologies for these issues and please bare with us as we resolve them once and for all.

Survival will be enduring a full reset within the next few weeks. An exact date has not been chosen but expect it to be around the end of July or the first week of August. We've put quite a bit of work into this reset, new builds, new plugins, and many changes to our current setup to bring you what we believe will be the best Survival reset we've ever had. See the changes and notes below to get a better understanding of what is to come.

  • New spawn area has been built including the majority of “official” survival builds
  • Introducing the AreaShop plugin, for renting/selling regions
    Introducing the AuctionHouse plugin, currently on Factions if you wish to check it out with /ah
  • Added /warp SpawnTown - Which is a medium sized community with some rental shops, streets, and other more
  • Added /warp marketplace - A player based market (similar to the old /warp market) located within the spawn region; it will be using AreaShop, and allow for the rent time to be extended along with auto-clearing after it expires
  • Introducing /warp job - This will be a large location in which all players will have access to multiple mines, farms, and locations to sell specific items
  • Introducing ‘Job Ranks’ - These are essentially in game ranks based off of the economy. There will be 10 ranks total. Your in game rank will determine which mines/farms you have access to utilize at the job area. However, all sell areas will be available to everyone without restriction, allowing all players to sell items to the server. This is by no means the only way to earn money, there are public markets, /rg tp’s, public exp farms, etc
  • Added “a road to the wilderness” located off of the west side of spawn in which players can walk on a short path to the wilderness. There is also /warp wild and /wilderness for your convenience.

The change log for this week contains many server wide bug fixes and new information release on upcoming resets, as well as some time estimates for when these resets will occur. Please read through the entire log before posting questions below. Also I would appreciate some honest feedback from the community regarding their opinion of these weekly posts; the change logs take quite a bit of effort and time to compile, so if the members really appreciate them and want to keep seeing them that would encourage us to continue.

Factions
  • More optimizations for lag and fixed one of the main crash causes
  • Factions Restore plugin fixed; wilderness and unclaimed land now regenerates to original state
